Cornerstone Christian Schools is located on forty-nine
beautiful acres in north-central Texas. We are a Christ-centered
college preparatory school, committed to academic excellence.
Our
academic program exceeds state requirements. The students
are served by a school-wide, full-time counselor and
guidance program, a full-time nurse, and a full-time
librarian.
The curriculum is designed to prepare students for the rigors
of college life. The significance of academic work,
however, goes beyond collecting sufficient credits for
graduation and scoring well on college entrance exams.
Cornerstone Christian Schools promotes the pursuit of
lifelong spiritual growth. All teachers and programs
are accredited by the Association of Christian Schools
International.

KINDERGARTEN (K-4 and
K-5)
|
| The goal-oriented instructional program for K-4 is planned
to meet the needs of the preschool child through individually designed activities
within the group setting. Opportunities for the development of social skills are
planned within a creative environment. Enthusiasm for learning is developed in
an atmosphere of Christian love and within the guidelines of age-appropriate structure.
The K-5 program is designed to assure a natural progression from Kindergarten
to first grade by providing the child with the readiness and social skills necessary
to experience success in school. Because the young child needs training and guidance
in a Christian atmosphere, discipline is fair, firm, consistent, immediate, and
age-appropriate. The goal-oriented curriculum is developed to meet the needs of
the total child by offering planned experiences in Bible, language arts, math,
science, physical education, computer awareness, and fine arts as a part of a
well-rounded program. |
|
ELEMENTARY (Grades 1
- 5)
|
| The goal-oriented
instructional program for grades 1 - 5 emphasizes
the Bible, language arts, mathematics, computer
literacy, science, foreign language, social studies,
and the fine arts. As student maturity develops,
the student is provided with opportunities for Christian
service, athletic accomplishment, and other leadership
opportunities. |
|
MIDDLE SCHOOL (Grades
6 - 8)
|
| All areas of development
- spiritual, intellectual, physical, social, emotional,
and moral - are included in the Middle School Program.
The achievement of academic success with young adolescents
is highly dependent upon their other developmental
needs being met. The Middle School curriculum is
challenging, integrative, and exploratory. Core
subjects include: Bible, language arts, mathematics,
science, and social studies. Related arts classes
include computer keyboarding, fine arts, foreign
language, and physical education. A variety of extracurricular
activities, including sports opportunities are also
available. |
|
HIGH SCHOOL (Grades 9
- 12)
|
| The High School
program builds on the sound spiritual and academic
foundations laid through the Elementary and Middle
School programs of the school system. Instructional
emphasis is organized into the areas of Bible, art
and music, computer instruction, English, foreign
language, mathematics, physical education, science,
and social studies. The instructional program is
amplified through practical opportunities for the
development of leadership, service, special interests,
and academic enrichment through many student organizations
and sports teams. The guidance office provides academic
and personal counseling for students and parents,
career information, a testing program, and college
materials for all secondary students. |
